Holt/Smithson Foundation is dedicated to the creative legacies of the artists Nancy Holt (1938-2014) and Robert Smithson (1938-1973).

 Nancy Holt and Robert Smithson transformed the world of art and ideas. They recalibrated the limits of art, changing what art can be and where art can be found.  Holt and Smithson’s art, writings, and ideas built the ground from which contemporary art has grown. 

Holt/Smithson Foundation is the hub of all things Holt and Smithson. Collaborating with artists, writers, thinkers, and institutions we realize exhibitions, publish books, initiate artist commissions, program educational events, encourage research, and develop collections globally from our headquarters in New Mexico.
